Well she's -31 and we're heading out to do some shooting. Expected high for today is -14, chinook coming in. I have some loads to try on the 223, and my buddy wants to stretch his legs with the .408 cheytac. Report and pics to follow, if the camera doesn't freeze!

Good luck bro. I'll be out there tomorrow, -19 for the high and strong winds.

Nothing a guy can do about that other than stay inside and that's no fun either.
 
I'm quite envious. I been loading 223 this morning to give me something firearms related todo. My range don't open until the 5th. :(

I think I'l go load some 308 now.

Sounds like the range in fort mac, and ya you will freeze your but off!
 
Went out yesterday, I think it was around -20 without the windchill, close to -25 or -30 with. Was nice and quiet at the range and I think I lasted about half an hour before I got too cold to shoot. My M1917 and 10-22 did pretty good in the cold!

Well I made her back! Took a few pointers from Jerry and tweaked the loads .1 gr at a time. found my perfect cold weather load at 25.1 gr of RL15, just up .1 gr from my normal load. Made quite a dif, just like Jerry said. I shot 4 shot groups at 100m of .304, .302, and my sweet load of .202. Got it dialed in to 700m now. Tightened up my 500m stringing and shot a 3 rnd group of 1.5" at 500M. The .408 still needs some load development and tweaking. Best group was 3" at 500M.

well we didn't have to endure much cold weather out my way (balmy 3 degrees) but we did have some fun at just under 400 yards.
