Last round sticking in grizzly magazine

Hey guys, I ran into an issue today at the range where the last shot was sticking in the magazine. I had to pump it a good 20-25 times before it finally loaded.

This is with a 12.5" tube magazine Grizzly. I took it out last month for the first time and put 250 rounds of federal birdshot and some slugs through it and it never hiccuped even once, we were all quite impressed. This time I hit Canadian tire in a pinch and all they had was..... Winchester universal...... I have read numerous issues with this ammo and never planned to ever buy it but it was the only bulk pack they had in stock and I was on the way to the range, so I figured I'd try it out.

Not only was the last shot sticking every time but it often took an extra pump to load the third and fourth round from the magazine. I'm assuming, and hoping, I can blame it on the crap ammo but figured I'd post this up for your guys thoughts.

The only thing that changed from working flawlessly last month to working like crap this month is using the notoriously bad ammo. But even so, it's a little dissapointing to have my new toy fail regardless so I'd like to do whatever I can to add some reliability. I'm planning to buy an s&j no jam follower and maybe fine grit steel wool the magazine(?), any other suggestions to ensure reliable future use? Maybe clean it again.. I would hate for that to be the only ammo in stock when the apocolypse happens. Thanks guys.

Prob the ammo. Mine feeds flawlessly with any ammo. Haven't tried the Canadian tire stuff. No jam follower is my next upgrade though.
