Late season (December) strategies for deer

I usually call it quits by this time of the year, but I know where 6 frequently used bedding areas so I want to sneak up on them instead of sitting in a cold stand. How best to do it? Never stalked before until last Wednesday and it was a blast, but I kept getting the feeling that every time I got close they snuk away. Just curious as to what works for you guys.

Middle of December here, an its 30+ degrees Celcius, The huntins different, alot more spot an shoot, or sit an wait, as the snakes are bad an the bush is so dry to traditionally stalk all morning/arvo
