I think what they are doing is taking photos, scanning them into a computer and then laser etching their coin dies to get such a realistic representation!

It's a part of a coin set. They issue the new coins throughout the year.

I bought something a few months back, so I get the flyers and emails from them now. Some nice sets actually. The RCM makes some beautiful pieces if you ask me!
