Latest Henry survival rifle... Any better than the old ones?

I used to own one but was tired of feeding it mini mags and sold it off. But, I'm thinking of giving it another shot. My only other .22 is too nice to take into the bush, and I need something for camping/fishing trips. I guess I'm hoping the newer design functions better than the old one.
It will be this or a Papoose... But I like the small size of the packed ar7. Packing gear into the fishing camp by boat makes for limited space for toys.
