Haha, I'm considering the same thing... I think your options are: Anything. I'm sure any one of the several CGN dealers will have something for you... OST and Vinzer come to mind, but that's just because I was looking at their sites earlier. Only thing that matters is whether you have a rail on your shotgun, or not. If you do, then any one of the Weaver/Picatinny mounts should work. If not, get one that clamps on the barrel. You can either get them with the laser, or buy the mount and laser separately.
I can't speak for the other two, but I'm going with a pistol grip and folding stock on my shotgun... while I intend on using the stock and shouldering the shotgun to to shoot when possible, I'd also like to try shooting with the stock folded as well. Rather than guessing the POI every time I pull the trigger, a laser would let me quickly and easily see where the shot's going to go. In the grand scheme of things, probably not the most practical setup, but still fun.
dont use youtube videos for learning form! theyre funny as hell but aiming a PGO shotgun requires its own form. Using the bead is easy and the position reduces felt recoil exceptionally well. No one holds a handgun right infront of their face to fire it so why people do it with a PGO shotgun beats me. Place your weak hand as far back on the forearm as you can comfortably and hold the shotgun out as far as you can without fully locking your weak arm elbow. Now your weak arm is a solid support that can take 50% of the recoil. Brace both arms and sight down the barrel. Your arms can push and hold back ALOT more weight when extended, so your weak arm absorbs alot of recoil, lessening felt recoil from the pistol grip and preventing the shotgun from wrecking your face. Ive done it with 3" magnums in a Maverick 88 cruiser and have never been hit in the face using the bead. Obviously you lose a bit of support and have more to think about but it is doable. I never really liked lasers but thats just me.
Supernova: Thanks for the tip... to be honest, youtube hadn't even crossed my mind. I will be careful with it though... I'm get a feel for how it shoots with the stock first, before I try shooting it PGO. Again, not something I'm planning on doing regularly, but it would certainly be useful to know how to shoot it PGO, if the situation did arise. It's kinda like learning how to control a car on snow or ice: If you've never done it before, and you just get thrown into a situation that requires it, you're likely to get hurt. If you've had previous experience, you still might get hurt, but at least you know what to expect.
Buy a quality laser they don't show up well in daylight at all. I had one on my mossberg along all the other stuff just to prove a point on the trap field that all guns have a purpose and should be respected. (Broke 16 with a scoped cyl choked 20" barrel pistol gripped forearm 6 position read pistol grip side saddles heat shield light and laser). It was fun running n gunning targets in low light tho
