This is a LE mag, i`m assuming it is for collecting spent casings in the LE trainer?

Not all .22 magazines were stamped with the ".22", however they will have the lips up front cut straight so the inside edge is flat. The lips on this mag seem to be a bit off - right side seems to be rounded and the left side almost looks like the end of the lip has broken off. The follower though is real and the large hole at the base end is for the empty case to fall into.

Let us know if there is any mark on the side.

Hi Infi. The magazine in the pic is a totally correct No.7 rifle mag and follower. The lips are correctlly positioned. The design of the follower allows cases to be ejected into the magazine and then after the match of course it would be emptied into a bucket (save all brass for weigh
counting). All original production magazines were nicely blued with a large 22 stamped on the left side. As time wore on when mag spares were depleted some No. 4 mags were converted for use and of course in the 50s parts were phosphated. JOHN
