My No5 has a .045 front blade. I've not shot it yet to confirm zero, waiting on a range membership. I understand the battle aperture is designed for 200 yards?
Also it seems one zeros the adjustable aperture by setting on the preferred range and changing the front blade sight? I plan factory loads to start and then by summer to be shooting 170 gn GC cast bullets at around 1800 to 1900 and all range shooting. I'm also going to try Berry's 7.62X39 plated bullet. I would be happy with a 200/200 zero for both sights if that works.
Edit: I discovered the Knowledge Base Sticky, wow! Some research and forum memberships are in order. Printed off a sheet outlining sight sizes and the necessary info to at least get educated. I'm still interested in tips or tricks.
