LE6920 paint job

I wanna play too:wave:: All Colt, All KAC... it's actually darker than in the pic and sports a KAC 600m Sight.

Feels good painting the old girl, no? Dress her up, and take her some place fancy! I'm not so big on unpainted, unused safe queens myself.

Did you go krylon?

Nice gun Sprint, but hows the eye releif working out for you with that ACOG. I know the TA31's with the BAC can be used like a red dot with both eyes open, but even with your nose to the charging handle how is your focal view? You must not be getting the whole 32MM when you look through? I'd either ditch the ARMS40 or get a ARMS40L or something else lower in profile so you can move your ACOG back. +1 it just looks better IMO.

Very nice paintjob.

Thanks much.

The eye relief's good for me. This model is a TA31F with Inverted Chevron reticule. I find it instantly viewable whether initially picking up the reticule or shifting focus vis-a'-vis BAC.

I also have an Eotech 552 as well, but it never sees any mileage on this rig.

My only real issue with this set up is mechanical; in that I must ditch the scope to transition to backup irons should the optics fail. This is due to the rear sight not being able to deploy with the scope mounted. At the same time, I find this a non-issue, as backup sights do not co-witness through the ACOG regardless of what I mount it in. As always, YMMV.

For my money, it can produce acceptable "minute of man" 1st round hits consistently with snap shots from low ready to standing unsupported out to 200m, so it floats my boat.

I got the ACOG last week, just too lazy to put pics but I'll smarten up tonight or tomorrow :)

I had to back up my RCOM4 as back as I could but the 1 1/2'' eye relief really makes you creep up to the scope which I am not used to. I also have an ARMS BUIS & could back up the scope even more if it wasn't in place.

I see the diff now with both the 40 & 40L and the low profile has an advantage indeed, glad I bought that one. I still find I have to creep up to get all 32mm as well even though mine is further back than Sprint's.

Just noticed your tension knobs for the RCO mount are on the ejection port side. Is that standard, or did you reverse them?

Looks good mano. Will look even better when the heat starts naturally running some of the color off the barrel and the receiver.

I just noticed that now that you mentioned it, the ACOG came like that but I'll try to tilt it.

Petster774 & I think it looks better with a bit of paint wear :) too

Sweet. You getting that prior to the Nov. gun clinic?

Turns out I'm moving back to Edmonton this fall. Gonna track down the contact you gave me re: SGGC. No idea where to shoot there other than Genesse.

Of all the Edmonton area ranges, Genesee was by far my fav.

Elrslie rd, hum there was that biathlon range that got demolished for realestate, forgot the name. Sherwood Park might be an option...

I figure its almost as quick to take Calgary trail out towards Lacombe as it is to take the Henday west to Genesee. About 45 mins to an hour either way.
