lead alternative waterfowl loads for old mossberg

i think ill just get some bismith if i can find it ive never hunted ducks before so i dont think ill be doing much of it at first ill prolly just buy 40 shells or so what shot size does everyone use with the bismith??

Usually with bismuth and other heavier-than-steel alternatives, you can drop down a size or two for a higher pellet count while still retaining necessary energy.

For ducks over decoys in the marsh I usually go with steel #4 since most of my shots are within about 30yds.

With the bismuth, at similar range you could probably go down as far as a #6.
