Lead buildup?

I've been shooting a ton of lead out of my 44mag as of late. These are mostly light loads using 240gr SWC lubed and hardcast. What I'm wondering is when lead might start to build up? In fact, I wouldn't even know what it would look like when it does start to build up. So how can you tell? And how do you clean out the lead if/when it does start to foul up?

Hard cast , no worries , to check look at the start of the rifling, in the grooves, also at the muzzle end. It will in most cases exist in patches, easy to see , a matte stainless looking streak.
Also look in the cylinder just behind that ring in the foward part where the chambers narrow. Sometimes lead will build there and form a ramp.
bronze brush will dis lodge the lead , and some solvent will help also.
Where problems crop up is when the lead is allowed to sit , and build with each visit to the range. So get it out , and no rust will form under the lead , which would happen if left there. Hope this helps, someone else will visit , and have more info on this, or perhaps help to clarify my poor writing skills. :)
You can tell when you look into a clean barrel , and see nice sharp squared off rifling .

Hardcast bullets and light loads will often build up leading at the forcing cone in the barrel and first inch or so of the barrel if you are using plain or bevel base bullets. remove with a lewis lead remover, bronze (not stainless) brushes and solvent.

If your load/bullet combo gives much leading, try increasing the load level a bit with the hardcast--this often works in .357 as well.
