Lead free slugs for medium game.

With some of the hoopla out there concerning the transition to lead free ammunition, monolithic centerfire ammunition, waterfowl/upland shotshells, etc. ... are there any lead-free smoothbore slug options for those of us who have to hunt with a shotgun in a particular WMU? I wonder how long before the environmental folks start pushing for a complete lead ban in all hunting ammunition. I suppose I could transition to sabots, but I'd prefer not to add another barrel to my inventory.

With some reasearch, I understand Winchester made a Zinc alloy foster slug for a time, but it appears to be out of production. Just thought I'd ask around to see if any of ya'll have heard of anything applicable.

In the last few hundred years that humans have been killing their game meat with lead projectiles, I doubt if there has ever been a single case of a human suffering from lead ingested, from eating the game.
