I scored a bit today at a goofy garage sale. Cheap lead salt shakers and pewter and candle holders. Get's the job done while I do other things.There is lead to be had you just have to search for it.

there is all sorts of special people out there. One guy wants over $2/pound for lead...He was not happy to hear what lead goes for "on the streets". Told him to keep trying as there may be special people who think that is an OK price

He bought lead from a specialty boat place for balast....Marsmetal is still cheaper. He thinks he can recover his cost for the lead. I told him he should try to sell it on boat forums....he might get what he wants

I pay 69 cents a lb at my local metals scrap yard.
Get all I want no problems. 2 bucks a lb is insane. Roofers throw it away.

Rotometals in the USA has 20/1 alloy on for $3.37/lb now. Lot's of folks will pay for the convenience of clean ready to go alloy. Not everyone is interested in running around looking for lead, and all the work required to process.
