I'm looking for a dealer who carries lead shot, all I can find is steel. Does anyone know of anywhere to get ahold of any? I reload for the 16 and 28 so buying factory gets expensive. Thanks.

I have been looking everywhere for lead shot also, seems to be on the endangered list,Use to get it at wholesale sports but none of the stores seem to carry it .I use it for light loads for the wife and I shoot the holy black so I have to reload, anyway I did find this site
http://www.rotometals.com/Lead-Shot They have everything you could want.If you have a U.S. address,or a friend there most shipping is free,if not be prepared to Pay .I phoned them and they quoted me shipping on 50lb ,it was $89 and $147 for 100lb of 71/2 shot.
I checked out Bill Bilozir did not see any lead shot only bismuth and nice shot very $$$$
compared to lead.

I stumbled accross this as well, thanks all for the reply's. This is rather frustrating.

If you can get a trucker to pick some up for you, you can get it from Lawry Shooting Sports in Ontario. See if you can find a local shipper that may be in the area some time to get it.

our local gun and sports store is getting out of reloading stuff both rifle and shotgun, powders, primers etc at 20% off stuff not selling sitting on the shelf collecting dust seen 8 bags of eagle brand 7.5 and 8 shot sitting there with a price tag of $45 per bag take off 20% thats $9 off per bag asked the owner how much per bag if i take all of them ended up taking all 8 for $30 per bag got lucky right place at the right time

Bilozir ussually has lead shot @ $50/bag.

With numbers like that its no wonder not many people reload birdshot. Costs as much or more to load it than it does to buy it.

Hummasson sells it for 38/bag and with those numbers you are at around 63/flat. Or you can buy it for the same amound and not have to do anything...

Yes....I have a new Littleton shot maker set-up for #8 shot, and can provide info if you want, on the process......Some(many) on here may not be interested.

I looked into this a while ago. You would have to buy from Hummsons and have it shipped out LTL. IIRC $38 a bag plus $8 per bag shipping if you bought 400#. If you are happy shooting standard 1-1/8 12 gauge loads it's hard to justify. I'm going to start reloading some 410 this winter and currently load 1 oz and 7/8 oz for 12 gauge, so it pays for me. That and an order from Henry for powder and primers should set me up for a couple of years at my current leisurely rate of use.

I would love some info. You say it's a pain? Why?
I got a brochure from Littleton as well as an instruction manual on using the dripper, I figured. Would read it before I decided to buy.
