Lead sled

All kidding aside, the cheese grater on the 270 WSM makes it recoil less than my 243... That would be a great rig in the lead sled... Light recoil anyways, and you can guarantee you'll see your bullet strikes...
 
I have a 416 Rigby built by Jason Spencer on a BRNO 602 action. Shoots one hole @100 and 1" @ 200 but the third shot it is all I can do to convince myself I need to shoot it. Might just be the answer. If you shot that Rigby enough I imagine you could end up walking in circles.

back to 762nato........... Andy, you have another shoulder you can use, after all! ;-) No sign of the .378 Wby ammo here yet - but maybe when it arrives we will have to go visit BIGREDD and use his "sissy sled" so I don't break my neck! I think I am going to shoot that one with the iron sights rather than play with fire by scoping it...........

You guys are welcome on my range anytime... I will even get out the video cam for Doug dancing with a .378WBY... that is the only thing I have ever shot that hurt worse than a Turkey load. That .416 brno might loosen your fillings though!

Andy's .416 is stiff but manageable, since it is a good heavy rifle. But like he says, it takes courage to fire three in a row off the bench.....even though it does punch very pretty cloverleafs at 200 yards!!! I think most guys would develop a flinch fairly quickly with that one........

Yep those 31/2", 21/2 oz turkey loads are quite stiff, almost roll me on my side when sitting. Can't wait to see what happens to the moose on the other end of that Rigby, it's only $8.84 a shot with factory ammo.
