It is very, very dirty. The unburned powder is almost gritty. Stopped a cleaned rifle from cycling after about 40 rounds. And then it doubled. Whoopsie!
What brand of ammo was that?
The crappiest ammo I ever shot was Remington Yellow Jacket.
American Eagle Hp and 400 rounds in the gopher patch and no issues at all with the CZ452.
Only cleaned it with a pull through the next day and carried on for two more days before heading home.

How old was the stuff and what brand was it? I've shot some old Dominion, Rem & Win ammo over the years that was stored well & shot well through my rifles.
Some were a tad dirty, but still did the trick.
I am using up old .22 ammo but aside from dirty and concern it may not leave the barrel there were no issues. Center fire is another story!
1960 & 1970 stuff.
I have shot 22 dominion that was 1940's looked bad ,Shot fine.
25 Rim that looked very good . was terrible, misfire , dead.
Shot some WW11 9mm out of smg, hot stuff, all worked O.K.
Years ago there was some Russian 22 ammo around that just handling it made your hands dirty. It had like a grease lube on it that would gum up a semiauto real quick
Your photo of some old .22 ammo got me to thinking. A check in some of the back of my storage/stock of rim fire, and found a few boxes of Whiz Bang and C.I.L. Super Clean. Memory lane treasures to be sure.
