I recently purchased an ambidextrous safety selector that I intended to put on my first generation Norc... Now, that was a full-auto selector but I figured it would fit, just like a full-auto bolt fits in a semi AR and that the extra milled areas would not matter... WRONG! The selector will not turn as the semi and safe surfaces are not exactly the same and do not mate properly with the sear lever...

Live and learn!

By sear lever, you mean the disconnector?

I believe that if you change the disconnector for the appropriate FA part, you will also need to change the trigger for one that will accept the extended tail on the FA disconnector, that is, a FA trigger. It should still work with a SA hammer, and standard hammer trigger springs. Using the FA springs is apparently what gave the first batch of NEA rifles a heavy trigger pull.

You might be better off just changing the safety lever. Questar has the RRA ones in stock, and usually carries the LMT ones as well.

Regards.
