Learned something new aboot the Ross, eh?!

The .30-40 story is interesting. The price is remarkable. Probably one of the II*** rifles supplied to the US.
I note though his other auction for the French service revolver. There are those here who would gladly pay the $895, so that they could resell it through the EE for $1500.

Had a good laugh at this guy's creative salesmanship and pricing! Beware the dreaded 1912 Ross! Hah!

Hmmm...note the comments at the end of the ad...seems he's had offers from some Canadians in the past...:D

Pretty funny actually...

Bore is dark.

BTW, that rifle is worth about $150 max.

I hadn't heard about them firing Krag ammo in a .303, perhaps with those generous chamber dimensions it can be done?

I'd imagine that if you could get the chamber reamed to take a 30-40 the undersized bullet would kind of...pinball... it's way out of the muzzle, LOL.
Love them 'mericans, eh.
I think part of being 'merican is the ability to hum the Star Spangled Banner whilst in orgasm ( before you jump on me I'm 'merican on Dad's side)
