I learned that a 40 S&W will fit completely into a 44 Mag case.
I knew that 9 case slides into a 40, and that into a 45. No problems, as the cases stick out. Just slows you up a bit when using the pans or manually sorting.
However, a 40 S&W case fits flush into a 44 mag case. Almost missed it going into the decapper
.
Thought the case mouth looked odd, but I dismissed it as a shadow. Then I picked it up and the weight was off.
A closer look and this......
Would have been an interesting sound (from me) when trying to decap.
