Learning to shoot Pistols

If you are just learning how to shoot and thus probably shooting bullseye I would stear away from something like a glock with the conversion kit as they have that long, creepy double action trigger. You would be better off getting one of the recommended single action .22's in this thread like the ruger or the browning which has a nice, crisp, light single action trigger. Just my opinion anyways as I was in the same boat as you a year ago.

You could always look at the CZ 75 in 9mm and the kadet 22lr which is the same size and weight and grip for practice. You will be very happy with both pistols

??????

I have a Browning Buckmark (crisp SA trigger) and a Glock 22.

The _only_ difference I found is in the initial pre-travel, where the Glock is "mushy". HOWEVER, after the first shot, if you are leveraging the short reset trigger, the Glock is basically on par with the Browning.

If you are completely releasing the trigger and pulling it all way back each time, you are doing it wrong....

Btw, *out of the box*, the Browning's trigger is light years ahead of the Ruger MK III

Btw part 2: Glocks don't have double action triggers. The striker is partially compressed by the cycling of the action.
