He has three different heights on hand. They are lace on style but once tightened, they don't move.
Just so you know, you need to be very careful when you install them as the bolt may not clear the riser.
I saw a decent home made unit a few years ago that used a formed plastic base that fit over the comb and was held in place with a threaded plastic bolt through the bolt disassembly insert in the butt. It caused the head to be back to far to be comfortable for me but provided a decent cheek weld for the fellow that owned the rifle with a high turret mounted scope on a k98 sniper clone.
He used contact cement to glue on strips of leather until he had the height that suited him best. Nice looking set up and didn't damage the stock, which was in excellent condition. The rifle was an old Russian Capture with an excellent barrel that he picked up before the prices went insane. He's been using it in this configuration for at least 10 years. Shoots better than he can hold it and has taken several deer and a couple of moose with it.
He has a long neck and doesn't do well with iron sights. He finds them very uncomfortable to shoot. The high turret mounts suit him well and the cheek riser just makes it all easier.
