The 'Military Utility Tool'

Saw this in Popular Mechanics this month and thought it was pretty cool.

The tool is designed specifically for LE/MIL and civi shooters for servicing and maintaining their AR15 / M16 type rifles.

Newest Edition to the Family of Leatherman Tools!

Designed for the AR-15 and SKS enthusiast

When Leatherman began developing the MUT for the military they called in the experts, US Army Sgt. First Class Aaron Hampton and Sgt. First Class Robbie Johnson, both well-known military and competitive shooters, for their expert advise.

Three features set the MUT apart from other weapon maintenance tools:

* Bolt overide tool that grabs the leading edge of the bolt carrier and lets the shooter pull back the bolt to clear a jammed casing.
* Replaceable bronze carbon scraper, wear it out and replace it without having to send the tool back in for service.
* Replaceable cord cutting blade - cut through 550 cord without even opening the tool. Wear it out and replace it in the field.

Goddammit, these fuggin things are worse than computers! I bought the first leatherman to come out and I think it cost me 80 bucks. Then I bought a new titanium one for a little over a hundred. What is this POS worth?

Nevermind - all I need to know is where to go and get bent over a rail and...er...all I need to know is where to buy one.

Sheesh, being a compleat gun geek is a costly proposition!

GAH!

Wait a bit for the competition to catch up and the price will go down. There would be a big market for such a tool in the US.

I got two multi tools fro free. Never used either one.

The silver one is a prototype I got at SHOT one year and the other was a giveaway. The black one holds driver bits inside the sight tool. Kinda cool I guess.
