Does anyone have experience with this M14 mount from Leatherwood. I don't recall anyone discussing this one, but it looks real solid. Plus it is windage adjustable which would have solved a problem I had before where I could not zero my scope because it was off so far.

I believe it to be fairly new, but I could be wrong.

Made by Hilux (chinese) now I beleive, Wolverine sells them http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/details/10905/Hi-Lux-M14M1A-Mount-with-Windage-Adjustment.aspx
Do some googling for the Hilux version....Looks like a alot of parts which can't be good for holding zero.
I'd look at the M14.CA mount for a lower cost option http://m14.ca/M14_M1A_CASM_Scope_Mount.html
For windage issues, Millet make windage adjustable rings...they are not tacticool, but they are steel and they work.

I've considered the CASM mount but as far as I can tell the front of the base just floats as there is no method of securing it to the receiver. This Leatherwood/Hi-Lux base seems to have addressed that.

It would be awesome if the CASM base was modified to utilize the side bracket like this to keep the front from moving.

Thanks guys you saved me. I actually placed an order for a Hi-Lux at about 3 pm today, but after the continued negativity I just sent an email to cancel it.

Now I have the CASM mount on order... the steel one.

I have high hopes for this one... you know... since it was in Jack Reacher and all. :)

Thanks again guys.
