Well it was a great huntWe got up to camp on Saturday night got everything ready had a few drinks
and went to bedWe got up Bright and early on Sunday afternoon
It was pouring rain! So we decided to go for a ride down the road to see if we could see any tracks crossing NOTHING!!
So we drove up to biscuit Harbour for lunch.
We got there and ordered lunch and the power went out. Luckily the grill was hot enough to feed us
We set out back to camp and sat in the dark for another 4 hours and had a couple more or ten beer
Monday morning we headed up to were we shot the 2 moose last year but it was so windy we only called for about 3 hours, by then I was frozen to the bone and we decided to try across from camp on Tuesday
Tuesday we walked along the creek up to the beaver dam straight across from camp and called for a couple of hours. We were starting to think that the moose weren’t calling yet. So we headed back to camp to hope the wind would die down for the evening
We went back out at 4:00pm and started to call, the wind had gone completely calm
it was the perfect set up We heard a response at about 6:00 and about a half an hour later we had our moose!!!!!
We finished to gut, clean and quarter it by about midnight.
It was a nice bull 15 points and at least 1000 pounds plus
The only regret is I had forgotten my camera

Ah man, so what was the stalk like,what you call with , how far, other animals in the area, a good hit , any trouble that got fixed etc... Come on, tell us a hunting story,. Congrats on a good hunt, loin on the BBQ , yum

Actually my hunting partner has the million-dollar voice!!!
He called it in to about 20 yards from him and 50 from me. The bush is pretty thick here and the opening we were calling from was quite small it came straight up the cut line and stood behind a willow bush so I couldn't get a shot off so I made him call one more little enticer call. It did the trick I took him with one shot from my 308norma 180g nos parts.
I tell ya I could here my buddy’s heart pounding in that last call!!!!
