Lee 1000 in 9mm

I notice the lee 1000 only has 3 stages the loadmaster has 5 stages , is it nessisary to factory crimp as the Lee 1000 dosent have the extra space for it ?

i've never needed it and i've had the 1000 in 9mm since 1990- i do lead and jacketed -just use the crimp that's in the seater die

The 3pc carbide 9mm dies include a crimp in the seating die. I have loaded 1000's of rounds as have many other people without needing a separate crimp die.

I like the loadmaster 'cause I don't have to worry about getting a round out of it that won't fit my chamber. With the factory crimp you resize as well at the end. If you are competing you might want to remove the barrel and make sure each round will chamber fully.

Lee seater die does the crimp when you seat the bullet. No need for another stage.
