Well - As mentioned previously, the LEE scale is very sensitive, so if the thrown charge from the volumetric dispenser is off by say .2 grain, it really affects the scale balance. To improve the repeatability of the volumetric dispenser, it pays to:
- keep it reasonably full
- ensure the ambient air is reasonably humid ( sometimes hard to do in winter!)
- tap the dispenser hopper during the filling process to allow the powder to settle.

Using the above precautions, I've had very repeatable results. I dont see any reason to replace either the Lee dispenser or the scale!

I got the same kit at Xmas and was also puzzled when I would weigh the same load twice and come up with a different measure. It's a balance scale and gravity is a constant so it can't be wrong?!?

Turns out I mucked it up by turning the scale a bit or moving it around on the not-so-level kitchen table where I did my first loads. If the level changes, even minutely, it will throw the balance off. Find a spot on your bench and DON'T move it after you zero it. You can test this by zeroing it and shimming one end... The needle will move a significant distance. If you don't move or turn the scale, you can bet your bottom dollar it will be bang on and utterly consistent...

But who cares if you're off by a grain? As long as it measure consistantly off by a grain you should be fine in terms of having an accurate load.

If you worked it up to 4.2 but really it's 3.2 but each weight is 3.2 and each round shoots fine who cares

I started to reload today but have run in to a problem.

My Lee 50th came with power measure system and scales, I have zeroed the scales and then tried to measure out 42gr of imr4985, but no matter how much i try i cant get it consistent, its all over the place. Is the powder measure system just crap from lee?

I have checked read the instructions, watched the you tube video but hasn't helped.

Anyone else use this system have this type of problem.

I did not read all responses so this could be suggested but when I got this kit I put scale on plastic Costco table and static electricity was playing with my
all plastic scale, so would not stabilize, then I put scale on 2x4 and it was working well.

Now it is on wooden table and works fine.

I use a wood bench, but as others have said, make sure its level and don't move it if you can.

I put mine on my bench and zeroed it.Than I got a marker and traced it onto the top making a rectangle pattern I can put my scale into each and every time.
