Lee bullet feed kid for Lee pro1000 questions

Good morning all. I’ve been using a Lee pro 1000 for the better part of a year now to throw together my 9mm reloads. I have it working pretty go at the moment. But am finding it a bit slow attempting to hold the 9mm projectile with my fingers and am wondering if the Lee bullet feed kit ( pictured below) is worth the money and your opinion on it.




I understand most people will say get a Dillon and such comments. I just can’t afford the cost of a Dillon at the moment

Don't think you are supposed to feed your kids bullets.

As to what I think you meant. Lee sometimes takes a little more patience to dial in but will work as expected

Don't waste your $. It takes almost as long to load the tubes as it does to place the bullets on the cases individually.

I tried the bullet feeder on my Loadmaster. Feed fingers got squashed, bullets not held securely, etc. In the end I removed it and just put the bullets in a shallow tray. If you have a case feeder all you have to do is pull the handle and pick up and insert a bullet. It can't get much simpler than that. When you add in the time to fill the bullet feed tubes plus the inevitable misfeed stoppages I don't think the bullet feeder saves much time at all.

This^^^ You still have to hand feed it into the feeder tube the right way up, and they you have to contend with it when it does f*** up; and if you change over between calibers It would be a PITA. Just as fast to insert on e bullet at a time by hand, with less agrivation. BTW, I am running two Pro 1000 presses, and have been for about 4 years.

I guess iam the only one with a positive experience, I love mine, I modified it to take larger bullets as it was made for 124gr, I run it on my load master with great success, I fill up the 4 bullet tubes, the 4 brass tubes and go until they are empty

I generally like Lee stuff and despite them using some cheesy materials like pot metal and plastic, most of their equipment works and lasts remarkably well but the bullet feeder was the exception. Glad it works for you. Someone has to luck out.
