Lee bullet hardness microscope holder

Our oldest son has a 3D printer that he used all the time and it would take him sometimes 8-12 hours to print something. It is sitting in his room but I don't have a clue how to use it, he passed from cancer 4 years ago. One of these days I am going to learn how to use it. That is a very handy add on to the lee hardness microscope. Now what you need is a vee block underneath where the scope mounts so you can just sit a bullet in the vee to hold it and then adjust the microscope for best focus. You could go one step further and add some kind of LED light showing either down on the bullet or from the side of the base or something like that.

Ah man, sorry to hear that about your son.

It's actually not that hard since thousands of people have created files already and most are posted on the internet for free. Just download and print.

The above was designed to use the block that came with the scope.

This was the original try.

years ago when I got the hardness kit I found a children's science set on craigslist for $10
a little bit of fiddling, duct tape and some glue...
