Just picked this mold up after looking at reviews on castboolits and firingline. Seems well liked. Anyone else using it?

I tried a 200 grain round nose flat point but couldn't get them to feed in my 1911's, your results may be different but some tweaking might be required. I settled on a 230 grain round nose and 5.4 grains of Unique, they clock in at +- 850FPS. I don't know if it required but I also squeeze some home-made lube into the grooves and use a hard lead-antimony-tin alloy.

That's funny Skinny because that is the exact load I use, 230gr and 5.4gr of unique. :) I shoot it out of my Norinco compact. Did you notice if you get any unburned Unique spitting out of the barrel? I had a target sitting on the shooting bench when I fired and I noticed later there were unburnt bits of Unique on it. Thought that was interesting.....

I had some unburnt powder left in the cases of my 45 Colt (same load as 45ACP) the other day first time I noticed it, hard to imagine that it didn't light up with the rest of the powder. Maybe contaminated by my lube is what I figured , the lube got burned off and left the dry powder.
