Does anyone have one?? If so how does it compair in size to the regular turret press>>How effective is the spent primer system?? The new turret press with the cast iron base and over sized ram [drilled through] that is supposted run all the old primers in a bucket.

I've been using a Lee Turret Press for a number of years...it's arguably the best press that Lee makes. I converted mine from 3-hole to 4-hole and it's a very worthwhile conversion.
Spent primer system..? What spent primer system... ;) The spent primers are supposed to eject down the centre of the ram through a side slot and down into a strategically place bucket under the press, but it doesn't always work that way. Invariably, they will fall back out of the ram's slot and into the primer arm well, jamming the priming 'rocker'. Not a big deal, but it is a bit of a nuisance. You'll see what I mean if you buy one. A good, solid press that works very well.

I've just upgraded from the regular Lee turret press to the new "Classic" turret press. It seems to work as advertised. It's a pleasure to load .30-06 with automatic indexing. The new, larger press is more rigid and rugged than the original turret press and the longer steel arm provides a lot more leverage. Use caution until you get used to the leverage - I split two turrets today while neck sizing some .308!

Oh my goodness. I didn't know this press came out. Does Higginson's stock it yet? I love my Lee Turret press and this new one sounds like they have addressed most of the issues I had with it.
