Lee crimps?

I have read that the lee seating die for Lee Pro 1000 are both Taper/Roll in the same die.

I want to load .40 s&w with either 180gr lead or CMJ for a CZ75B with Hodgdon Universal Clays.

I heard most KB with Clays/Universal Clays are due to setback of the bullet which can drive the pressure from 30 000 to 70 000psi only with .020"

I'll load WAY under max, as I want a low pressure round (135-150pf), how do I tell I have enought crimp?

I have done a dummy, 1.130" AOL (Factory is 1.133, Hodgdon data for MAX is 1.125") and chamber right, and won't setback when smacked on my desk, bullet first.

If I remember, I have put the Die until it touch the brass case than added 1/2-3/4 turn for the crimp.

Any tips?

Lee's dies are taper crimp for autos and roll crimp for revolvers, they put the right one in for the dies you buy.. Goto www.leeprecision.com and look at "crimp dies " "pistol". A roll crimp wouldn't work on a auto round that head spaces on the mouth of the case like a .45acp or .40 .
