If I go any faster I get 10 inch groups at 100 yards
15 grains of red dot is what I got the greatest accuracy with
I am finished casting for 30 cal lead loads.
I now only do the big boys in lead and am much happier
I wasn't meaning for you to try speeding up the loads, I was bringing up the likely extremely low load density that can cause all kinds of fits. The lack of accuracy may be due to repeated "flyers." One thing to try with a very large case and very light powder charge is to point the muzzle skyward and then lower onto target before shooting. This will ensure the powder is seated against the primer, which will give much more consistent ignition. If that he;ps shrink your groups you can try a filler, be it dacron, cream of wheat or something else.
