hey guys ive got some lee rgb dies here for 308, but the stem was bent and broken off a few year ago.. i use a 3006 neck sizer collet die now but want to reload some 308 rounds.

can the stem from inside the 3006 lee rgb die, work for the 308?? it would proberly need to sit up higher/shorter in the die itself but i dont see that a problem? but i figure someone on here will know what i mean an if it works ?
thanks alot

*both FLS lee rgb basic dies

all good on this , ive ended up using the 3006 collet to deprime...... then used the FLS 308 etc... its just missing the pin , not bent etc.

i see replacement parts for $15 or so down here for correct item, ill do this soon enough

Maybe not related - I tend to load in batches of 50 or 100 - centre fire rifle - I use the de-capping rods from elder Lee Loader sets to "pop out" the fired primers - a 22-250 target set and 30-06 regular set. That tends to deal with any case from 223 Rem to 458 Win Mag. Then I wet tumble the brass without any primers - then re-size in dies that have no expander rod (necks will be too small diameter) - then run them through again with the expander ball installed, but too far out - in effect, forcing that ball "in" to the case instead of pulling it "out" of the case. Trim and chamfer the cases. Then re-prime and load them up. That all usually involves several sessions - I no longer have the patience to do all in one sitting - is typical to de-prime and then wet tumble. Then prep the brass after it has dried. Then prime, meter powder and seat bullets - so most of the time, is three sessions for me - to do one batch.
