I did not have good luck with Factory Sales.
I ordered a Lee drive key slug mould and a few bits and pieces over the internet.
Waited 5 weeks as per invoice for items to arrive, no show. I emailed them, and they said the mould was back ordered ( yes, they charged my card before they even had the product made), and that they would issue me a refund..........
Fast forward 3 weeks, and a cheque arrives. It is from the States, so my bank puts a 30 day hold on it. So anyway, roughly 2 1/2 -3 months from time of ordering to time of their refund cheque actually clearing. And me eating 18% on the bill. Nice. Not in a hurry to deal with them again. I would for sure call them or email them to ensure they actually had the product on hand before I placed another order. The last time was frustrating.
Lyman on the other hand, was also back ordered ( I ordered from both companies the same day) , but they were good enough to inform me right away, and to not charge me until the package shipped. Great to deal with. However, their prices are much higher than Lee's. They also get things done quicker than Lee. I was still waiting for Lee when my Lyman mould arrived, and was happily casting slugs long before the refund cheque cleared.
And what is this about a Canadian surcharge? I never saw it. Built into the price where, exactly? Curious- is it somehow slipped into the shipping total?
I do have to admit, though, I thought that the prices were very good from Factory sales and the availability of not only whole pieces of equipment, but the small parts that wear out or break is nice. I like some of the Lee equipment ( auto prime)
