Lee Enfield action, #### on close, any modern actions like this?

So I understand that almost every modern bolt action rifle is based on the Mauser action, but the Brits decided to to design their own and and the British designs #### on closing the bolt rather than on opening which makes it a smoother and faster operating action (Lee Enfield, P14). I understand that this was designed before semi-auto and full auto military firearms and these days being able to rapidly fire a bolt action isn't as big a concern I guess.
Do any modern actions do this or has it been abandoned completely. Do any modern actions cycle as quickly as the Lee Enfield?

Was lee enfield action just not capable of handling the more powerful cartridges?

And since AIA went bankrupt does anybod manufacture modern Lee Enfields any longer?

The "flaw" with a LE style close is the amount of time it takes between release of the trigger sear and the striking of the primer (lock time). For a battle rifle this is dead simple and works like a charm, but for a precision rifle this is undesireable. There were features of the LE bolt such as the bolt head, that have been adapted and used in modern firearms. It is a great action, but they have battlefield tolerances and were designed for ammo with military pressures, not high-power modern hunting cartridges like today. Square barrel threads are generally not prefered for building precision rifles either as tapered threads make it easirer to line up the bore.

the othe reason the lee is so fast is because its only a 60 degree bolt trun vs 90 for the mauser, and the bolt handle stops behind the trigger, so your hand moves in a straighter line than going forward then back to open, and forward and back to close.
