Lee enfield cadet rifle value?

Hey,
I did not want to hijack the other thread so I am starting my own.
I have a friend that has recently been diagnosed with cancer so he has asked me to sell his stuff to raise money. I know most of what I got but there is some ammo and a cadet rifle I am unsure of so I thought that I would ask for help.
It is registered as a 22 Short Rifle MK4 and the markings are a crown with GR under it, then BSACo, then 19 something (I think 12), then Sht 22, then IV.
It is in good shape so I was wondering ball park value so I don't Short change my friend.
Any help would be appreciated and if you are into military ammo please check out my other post in ammo thread on the ammo.

Value: 300-600 depending on condition

I figured it was a conversion and I was thinking $400 so it sounds like I was in the right neighborhood.

I would think the price would be in the higher end $400-$600 and if its got all the parts and its in good condition, (and not bored out to 22 Hornet ) it may go for more.

I have one in .22 hornet, but it was done by Lithgow arsenal for Slazengers sporting goods. And thats what is stamped on the barrel.

It has all its parts and looks in pretty good shape and has not been altered for 22 hornet
