In 1947, Faz is recorded to end at AF####. Are you sure the second letter is a X? What year is it dated?

Yes.....7/45. I guess that explains the serial number. The only place on this rifle I find the serial number is the bolt. No number on the butt socket or reciever or barrel that I saw. Is this the norm with JC's? Dave
