Hey gents... I just acquired a mixed bag of surplus on trade and I have a bunch of Enfield Mags with it.

I have (best I can tell with google over the last hour anyway) 12x Enfield No4 10 round mags. They don't have the latch on the bottom, they don't have grooves all the way to the bottom of the mag, etc. So I'm assuming they are for No4's or 5's.

I have four that are parkerized with PF serial numbers, (1x new, 3x like new,) four that are worn black paint with PF serial numbers, (all like new). These are stamped F52 on the followers.

Then I have four that are not serial numbered and have a seam along the bottom of the mag. One of them is in a barcoded bag that reads

DESC: Case magazine 303
QTY: 1
DATE: 1131

They are stamped UCF of the follower. I assume these are reproduction aftermarket mags.

Any idea on a value, or interest in them?

25-50 a pop at gun shows. Surprising how many smelly mags must be out in the bush! Always a demand for them. Good score if you got them cheap.

I'm actually interested in the reason they differ.... Any thoughts on what each style is, and what the origins are?

I'm keeping most of them, just curious which ones are better, more durable, etc.

Throw them on a scale and keep the heavy ones. I've had a few aftermarket ones with light springs and poorly stamped thin bodies. Got rid of them at gun shows...

I think the last 4 might be Long Branch magazines.

The PF ones are all British.

Mags are like $75 and up anymore. Not as common as they used to be.

Too high? See if they sell.
