Lee-Enfield N°4 restoral - Where to find wood/parts?

Hi!

I have an Enfield that would need some love. I always wanted to give her back her proper outfit since she is uncut and pretty good condition. Plus sentimental value since it was given to me from my father.

I have been out of the milsurp game for the last 2 years and was wondering who is currently selling complete wood set? I would also need front sight ears.
I knew had some sets from greece but was overpriced back then. I also heard about buying sets from england?

Thanks for helping me out!

Haven't seen complete stock sets for a few years. Lots of stock parts at Gunparts. 30% plus exchange though. Try Epp's, Marstar(currently listing butt stocks, forestocks are sold out), and Western Gun Parts first. And gun shows.

Troll the milsurp parts and accessories forum in the EE, full No4 stock sets are not an uncommon item. If your on Facebook search canadian gun runners and canadian gun traders, sets appear on there as well. There's also a seller on eBay that has crates of No4 stocks that he's been selling for a while out of the UK, I've bought 3 sets from him and pleased with them all but they are post war stocks if that matters to you.

Good luck.

Keep an eye on Numrich... They get NOS in from time to time, but it sells out within 24-48 hours of it showing up as available. I got a complete No1 MkIII stock set off them last year - New Old Stock, never even installed, pristine condition - when they got a large batch in from an unidentified source. I called them about it when i saw it, and they said "Oh, we have a few hundred sets, no problem..." and I ordered on the spot.

They were sold out a couple days later.

Patience pays when it comes to restoration. Trolling gun shows, keeping an eye on the EE, and sites like Numrich, and being able to strike at the right time, you can still get everything you need, and at reasonable prices.

Sarco had some at a real good price a while back. Check this.

Grizz

They are on back-order already, I spoke to one of their sales reps last week (Amanda). No timeline but you will eventually get the set in the mail, could be in a month or six months. Just a word of caution, the quality of parts from SARCO has been steadily dropping. However, they are extremely pleasant to deal with.

Contact arealgunnut here on CGN. He's got full wood sets and full hardware sets for a decent price. Matched fairly well and after a couple (dozen lol) coats of hand rubbed BLO they look pretty darn nice.
