Lee-Enfield No.4 Bolt head size 4 !

Hi guys ! I recently bought a No.4 Mk1 rifle with an almost unexisting rare Size 4 bolt head. Any idea how it could be worth ?

Dunno, but if your rifle has proper headspace with that bolt head, and you sell the bolt head, the rest of the rifle is worth a lot less...

So if #3 is between .635 to .640" so #4 would be well over .340"

Thats like Khyber Pass excessive.

I've got both a #3 and a #4. The 4 is installed on a rifle that passes headspace with a #2 bolthead. I'm guessing it was used to tighten things up for target shooting.

i suspect that's the reason these exist, if it was required the rifle would be junked i think. it wouldnt surprise me if post war the factories made them to improve commercial sporters and target rifles. to my knowledge no real reference exists about them

Got a rifle like that, had a 3 but needed a 1 for proper headspaceing. I've never seen a 4
