Now. if you go to guns shows, I think you can do better. I was fortunate enough to find a beautiful all correct C.No.7 Long Branch chest at the last Militaria show in March. It's in great condition and even has the HCF marking for HILL CLARK FRANCIS of New Liskeard, Ontario on the end of the chest. I think we paid $50 for it?

Hmmmm....don't give me ideas...:evil::bump:

ps Just joking.:(

btw, they haven't made one of these in what, 50 years or more? Why are they so cheap??

I talked with a dealer at the Calgary gun show who had placed a bid on some stuff from Crown Assets, and amongst the lots was supposed to be 60 Cno7 chests. When he went to pick up his stuff, the ragpicker (supply tech) said "your chests are outside". It wasn't 60, it was 600. He had to run out and find a cube van for them all.

They were running $5 or $10 for a few years after that. They seem to have started to dry up now, and any that I have thrown on my tables for $50 usually go fairly quick.

Chests

Paid $40 for one while in Ottawa several years ago. Picked a nice but repainted one at Duncan,BC. show last year for $20. You dont want to have one of these shipped. Only hard to find when you are looking. Plenty around,most gunshows have a couple.

sniper transit case

I have built a couple of No 15 transit cases from an original that I use for transporting a couple of enfields with the accessories, rather that beating up the originals.
Any interest in repro sniper chests, if so I can see what I can do on bulk wood purchases to keep the cost down.
I would like to get them around 100.00 or so with the labour.

THESE ARE NOW AVAILABLE, PICS UPON REQUEST, PRICE IS 130.00.Paint to be done by purchaser
