Lee Enfield No4 Mark I question

I've searched and searched. Is there any way to take off the sight at the tip of the barrel without destroying it?

The front sight is either clamped or tapped into its base. The front sight base is secured with a crosspin. Tap out the pin, tap the sight base foreward off the lugs. The front sight guard is secured by its screw, of course.
Should be possible to disassemble everything without marking or damaging any part.

I found that sometimes, the pin comes out one side easier than from the other side.

Also, make sure your punch is tiny (just the right size really) and strong enough.
