Lee-Enfield rifle heads into retirement - "Legion Magazine" and Ross Rifle

I just picked up the latest issue of the Legion Magazine (Jan/Feb 2018)

There is a story on the Lee Enfield rifle, but the website posting says Sept 2017???

More than likely, they might be retained by the Rangers as personal firearms to reduce the costs incurred in removing them from holdings and then destroying them. I doubt any of them have real value as most a re quite beat up and parts to restore them are expensive and getting scarce. And they are replaced by the Tikka T3 Arctic Rifle in .308 ( a more winter friendly version of this rifle to deal with the harsh arctic conditions that it will be required to function flawlessly in. )

The rifles and all the considerable stocks of remaining MK8z IVI produced ammo will likely be handed over to the Rangers.
I have heard this from high ranking members of both the Weapons/Ammo trades. That was the last I heard of it anyhow.
Because of course, the government couldn't trust current white serving CAF members with PALs to buy them and enjoy them....
