So I just took my new LE Mk1 No3 to the range.. am a little curious, as I didnt have much ammo to burn, does anyone know about how much each of the little notches on the back sight is supposed to adjust the sight? Say for 100 yds? Any experience advice much appreciated.

And does anyone have a good cheap source for ammo? I got an old box with the rifle but had 3 burst case necks in a box of 20. Or (dare I say) is anyone putting together a group buy for new factory stuff?

The lowest elevation setting on the sight is for 200 yards, but the sight adjusting knob will actually move back farther. I put mine as far back as it will go and it seems ok for 100 yards. Each of the smallest marks on the sight is for 25 yards. As far as cheap surplus .303 ammo goes, I haven't seen any in Edmonton since the South African PMP stuff several years ago. I usually shoot the Remington UMC 174-gr. FMJ, which is identical to the service ammo.

I've been shooting alot of the Igman .303 ammo. It's not bad at all, and seems to be no less accurate than Winchester or Remington stuff. And although the brass is reloadable it is Cheap brass and probably wouldn't take too many resizings.
