Lee Enfield Sling Width ? Swivel size required ?

I would like to put a Lee Enfield sling on one of my shotgun. Would 1 1/4 wide normal QD sling swivel work for this ? I'm worried the lee sling would not pass through it.

I'm pretty sure the 1-1/4" swivels will accommodate the web slings. On a time or two in the past, seems to me that I did exactly what you wish to do.

I couldn't agree more! With the rolled edges, I find them very comfortable and almost all my rifles will take those old cloth slings. I know that there are prettier, or fancier, or better slings out there. Can you imagine a Lee Enfield sling on, say, an AR platform? It just wouldn't look right. I have those old slings on my Swedish mauser and my Ruger M77 for example, and aesthetics be damned. They are just comfortable as all get out when you're walking any distance and quick and easy to adjust.
