Lee Enfield Stock Question

I currently own a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 which has been sportorized. I have the opertunity to purchase an original stock for a No4 Mk1*. Will it fit on my gun?

It should, the only question I have is the front sight original or after market ? plus you still need all the hardware....barrel bands, sling swivels, etc

It will fit. There may be a little bit of chisel work needed (because of the difference between the Mk1 and Mk1*); IIRC, there is a recess in the stock for the Mk1 to allow the bolt release system to be pushed down, and that recess isn't required in the Mk1*. But we can get to that later if you get the stock and post pictures...

Make sure your barrel is intact (with the bayonet lugs in front of the front sight) before you start acquiring parts.

If you replace the butt, too, a Canadian made butt needs chisel work. Savage will bolt right on.
