Lee Enfields, J-C & #1, MK5

So now that I've been bitten by the Lee Enfield bug, where would a fella get a sling and bayonet for these 2? The cleaning kit would be nice too.

P&S Militaria has both bayonets you're looking for. The 1907 pattern and the No5. The No5 one will cost you an arm and a leg though. ;)

Edited to add:

Collector's Source also has both, and a new No5 bayonet in grease.

Since they were trials rifles I have no doubt the buttstock was from a No1Mk3. they certainly had plenty of spares on hand. Later in the war the brass stock disc was eliminated because it told the other side just who it was facing. Oddly enough, after the war some of those discs were reinstalled.
The cleaning kit would be the oil bottle and pull through which was stored in the buttstock. The ones in the metal tins were for the No5 which did not have a butt trap.
Try www.ima-usa.com for slings, pull throughs, and oil bottles.

Thanks Vimy.
I finally went thru all my bayo's.... I have a 1903, 1907(Wilkinson), and another possible english(small crown?).
The 1903 has a 12" blade, 1907 a 17" but looks to be chromed for parade?? or just Bubba'd? The other I don't know:confused:
What is the 1903 for, as it fits the #1,mk5 as well?
If I want an unchromed '07 would it be wise to trade it or are they more desireable?

Both the 1907 & 1903 will fit your MkIV, it has the same nosecap as the MkIII's. It would be more proper to have the 1907 for the MkIV. It may have just had the bluing removed on the pommel etc, as the blades are usually on the shiny side. Although it could be a parade version, I'll leave it to a real expert to determine as I'm still relatively a newbie! The 1903 is more scarce than the 1907, it might be worth hanging on to, but I can't really comment on it's value. The last bayonet I don't have a clue as to what it is! :p

Ok Lou, will do.
I'd say this '07 is definitely chrome; the Wilkinson stamp is very faint, and it's way shinier than polishing. Maybe someone might trade on the EE?;)

I'll start some web searching to ID the rest of these bayonets..... Turk, German, Argentinian....
