Lee Enfield's

Nope. Most of the No. 4's here were made here and few shooters/hunters want one from elsewhere. In any case, all the decent condition Lee-Enfields of both models, are gone.

That's a pretty broad statement, Sunray. And incorrect. There are far more than two models of Lee Enfield made in many different places and most, if not all, of them can be found in Canada. To say that all decent condition Lee Enfields are gone is simply not correct. There are many offered for sale here and elsewhere across Canada. Some are even reasonably priced.

I agree!! This country is FULL of lee Enfield in every Mk, color, caliber and from every manufacturer. I'm constantly finding good to VG condition lee Enfields locally, at shows and online.

For instance last summer I bought a numbers matching no.1 Mk3 Sporter from a buddy at work. It cost me barely more then the price of the couple boxes of ammo.

Last Christmas I found locally a no4 longbranch, built by AG Parker into a target rifle. An Enfield target rifle is my holy grail of rifles and I found that gun in an old timers basement for sale locally.

Oh and 3 weeks ago I found my brother a complete all matching except the bolt lithgow no1 Mk3*. It's in VG shape, numbers matched wood, perfect barrel an almost perfect bluing.

All 3 of these guns are what I consider "GOOD" lee Enfields.

OP, do your research, save a little cash and wait. You will find a nice lee Enfield in whatever price range your looking to spend.

Happy hunting!!
