Hi I recently discovered that my lee 308 fl die is not bumping the shoulder back on the cases enough to chamber in my rifle. According to the hornady headspace gauge its 0.004" longer than factory rounds. The die worked fine for my old gun, i guess the chamber was a little deeper. I have the die adjusted properly in the press. I load for 300 win using lee dies and have no issues. Had the same issue with a lee fl 22-250 die and sent it back, they returned it after a few weeks with some of the bottom of the die milled off and it worked after that. So after the same issue twice , i think im going to switch to something else, maybe redding. Any suggestions? I'm shooting in a bolt gun and do like to partial full length size to increase brass life. I have lee collet neck die, but as i discovered the hard way that after a few firings(only 1 firing in the 300 wm) the rounds stretch out and the shoulder needs to be bumped back again.

Thanks

You know I have used Lee dies for years and likely have 10 sets. They are ok and make dies in calibers you sometimes cant find with other brands. Having said that I do find RCBS, Redding and Hornady are a lot nicer and more accurately made. I love the Hornady bullet seating set up. It always seats the bullet straight in the casing. Just my opinion based on reloading for 37 years.
