lee metford calvary carbines

Value is dependant on condition and rarity for the most part. Lee Metford carbines, IF UNDICKED WITH, are fairly scarce and if a lot of original finish remains are even scarcer. If you can post pics you will probably get a fairly intelligent estimate from some guys on here. If in original trim value would be in the neighbourhood of $800 to $2000 depending on condition in my opinion. Others may have a different idea.

To give an accurate reasonable value, you MUST post pictures so that the more knowlegeable collectors here can help you.

Take full length pictures of left, right, top and bottom. Then take a good picture of the left side of the butt socket, the right side if any markings are there, and the markings on the top of the barrel in the chamber area. Also, any markings on the butt stock or butt stock disk are very important and can reflect value. CLEAR PICTURES ----a blurry picture is almost useless.

If you do not know how to post pictures, there are "stickies" on these forums that will help and guide you. Many people use "Photobucket" or other service where you can open a free account.

Otherwise, this is like asking "I have an old Ford car---what is it worth."
